Fire And Ice

All change please! All change!

I wasn't keen on bleaching my hair a third time in less than 6 months, my hair's a bit weak and it's already had to be cut about 4 or 5 inches shorter than it was in the summer.

So I thought I'd try something different

What do you think?

Here's some of my recent acquisitions. I thought I'd take advantage of the smattering of snow we had last night

Jumper - Charity shop
Skirt - Ebay, adjusted by me
Boots - Clarks

I've discovered how cotton nighties are fantastically comfortable and warm when worn in bed. Not too warm, so no waking up in a sweat. I wanted to show off this  beautiful one from expensive American 'intimates' company Eileen West, obviously I picked it up in a charity shop
Belt - Towersey festival
Stole - Masqueryde in Ryde
Boots - Clarks

Turban - ASOS
Jumper (looks like it's made of Mithril - getting excited about The Hobbit now...) - Primark
Skirt - Ebay
Dog- Had fallen down the stairs about an hour before this was taken, but being shaped like a barrel wasn't hurt at all

Jumper - Primark
Skirt - lovely Vix
Shoes - very old friend Lucy

Byeeee!!

More folk - this is lovely

I didn't think you could improve on perfection but you have! Loving the new hair, you look beautiful! Every outfit looks amazing, especially that turban and furry stole. Poor doggie falling down the stairs, he was probably overwhelmed by your fabulousness!
It's too cold for snow here I think, bastard freezing! I don't want to wear thermals on my birthday! xxxxxx

Stunning, I love the hair and yeah probably a good idea to lay off the bleach for a bit if your hair was getting weak(been there done that had it SNAP OFF!!!!)

I'm going to come to your house and steal that first jumper.

Oh I DO like your hair, very much! That first photo is just beautiful. In fact I think the photos in this post are some of the best I have ever seen of you, what have you been doing? The new hair colour has obviously made you extra gorgeous!
In the first shot with the jumper and pink skirt, you look like a mod 60s chickie; in the nightie pics, you are a crazy romantic poet in the snow; and the turban suits you SO well, I'm getting a hint of kitchen sink drama in the last outfit. And how cool to have an Elvish jumper!
Poor dog, glad to hear he bounced...
I can imagine you featuring in the film of some tragic Victorian tale, a Thomas Hardy maybe, wearing your nightie, slightly mad, wandering about in the snow and singing like Anne Briggs, before meeting some desperate fateful end...
I'm so fanciful, I can't stand myself. Yeah!
Love ya! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Wow, Clare I love it! You look amazing as a ginge! I know what you mean about bleaching your hair. Mine is frazzled at the ends where I had it lightened and I can't wait for it to grow out. This post has made me want to cut my hair short and buy a turban! I might have to go and have a look on ASOS. Is it big enough for a big head? My noggin is huge and I always have trouble finding hats to fit. Which brings me to the outfits - wow! Love em. I think the first look is my favourite, the shape of the skirt is lovely and so is the jumper. The second outfit is fab but makes me feel chilly! You're lookin hot to trot missus xxx

I totally agree with Curtise that these are the best photos of you ever. Ginger really suits you. Love you in the nightie and those boots and I'm still drooling over the green shoes. Lovely furry stole and I'm glad to see the skirt with the horse pockets on you. You look particularly stunning in the first pic - liking the addition of the birds! xx

Holy ginger girl, you do us red heads proud (what I'm a natural redhead I can say that)! This color not only suits you but girl have you got the pretty milky white skin that looks oh so good with it! RIGHT O! Bleaching is pretty tough on the hair so I hear ya there.

These pictures are your best and I love the appearance of the doggie! You in the snow with your turban, you are a movie star! I love that you can pull off so many different styles! The minty shoes from Lucy are Kawaii cute!

YA for change!
Loveyou!!

O,poor sweet puppy! A bit clumsy,is he?!
Love all your new goodies, and such lovely pix to show them off! You're wearing my shows, I notice...the black faux fur stole is awesome, I'm absessed with mine but hardly wear them. What a dork! Turbans RULE,especially with your haircut and those EYES!

Yes yes yes!! I love the new color!! It's looks especially cute peeking out from under that great hat. I love hair color changes, I get so bored with myself.

These are all great looks on you!

Wow that flame color really suits you, just gorgeous, and adore the turban! I'll tell you a little secret I learned on the longhair care boards, when bleaching my hair I soak it in extra virgin coconut oil before and after, and any old dang time you can smear some in your hair as a leave-in, it's cheap and supposed to chelate the peroxide or something, but it works for me, as I have no trouble growing in long bleached hair. You look great, thanks for the post!

The hair is really cute, and I love the mithril jumper outfit. Smashing!

You really suit red hair Clare, I think you're one of those girls who can pull off every colour actually. My daughter has those big dark eyes too and I'm so jealous of you both! I think dark eyed girls seem to suit all colours of make up, hair and clothes more than most of us. That first pic of you is stunning, and I love you in a turban, it goes so well with your bobbed hair. You do look very like a Thomas Hardy heroine in the nightie pics, I'm seeing Tess of the D'Urbervilles in the first photo, then Mediaeval Babe in the second. And you're so brave and a dedicated blogger for doing a photo shoot in the snow. xx

Damn you look so fine as a redhead, it shows off your beautiful skin and eyes!!! I agree with Skybaby, you do look you stepped out of Hardy's classic in your lovely nightie - beautiful nighties-as-frocks is one of favourite things to wear:). You look utterly majestic in your green turban and those green shoes - GAH!!! My eyes, my eyes!!!! It's so, so lovely to see the early snowfall, I'll bet doggies just love exploring their "new" wonderland :)) xoxoxo
