Purikura Part Two

On Sunday I went back to the Purikura photobooths in London with David of GWH Photography and Lisa
Firstly we visited the Tate Modern, which was great, apart from the endless screaming children and the children who weren't screaming but watching strange art films with over tones of eroticism and bondage.
Thanks to David for the photos!
I'm a bit squinty. I had to buy those tights because the ones I'd put on in the morning decided to fall down.
But look at all the attention I'm getting..... from that one bloke.

Headband - Sassy Vamps!
Jacket and fur stole (sewn onto it by me) - Maskeryde
Dress (shortened and white detail added by me) - Ebay
Tights - H&M
Shoes - Ebay

Anyway, enough about me. We had a fantastic lunch in a Korean place and then on to the Purikura

Menage a Trois

Couples

Just Me. Me Me Me

Obviously I always come home with some kawaii tat, yesterday was no exception
Hello Kitty in an Aubergine/Egg Plant costume!!

I also saw this postcard and wanted to buy at least 5 copies to send to various bloggy buddies (looking at Desiree, Curtise, Vix and Sarah Misfit in particular)

On Saturday I came home from Mikes to a fantastic parcel from our lovely Lucy Nation
Anyone else noticed how much she looks like the lady on Edie's blog header?
She sent me:
Best ever apron!! very pretty hairclip/brooch and a W Heath Robinson card
AND....
a CD of amazingness
We've got a few songs in common and there's loads I haven't heard before or don't have so I can't wait to get listen. Oh and Lucy... TVOD is the name of an exhibition I was in last year! Weird!

Ok I'm going to stop hurting your eyes now and leave you with one of my new favourites from my new CD

How gorgeous are you in that outfit? No wonder the Alexander Armstrong lookalike was checking you out. He's a definite improvement on what Walsall usually has on offer!
Those pictures are even better than last time if that's possible and your new background is sublime!!
Lucy's similarity to Edie's blog header is uncanny, I adore the poodle pinny and there's a lot of tracks that take me right back to school discos - She's In Parties for one!!
I used to be called weird for liking Cabaret Voltaire in the Eighties, how cool to find another admirer even if it's taken 30 years!!
COUNTING THE DAYS!!! Love! xxxxxxx

You are wonderful dear Clare!!The outfit is ufficially in my top ten of favourite colour combinations ever and you are stunning!I'm crazy for your new background and the purikuras are so addictive, everytime they are better!I'd love to visit the Tate Gallery again and bring my daughters there with all the other screaming children, even if I think that I would forbid them to watch fetish video art (but maybe I sound too prig)!
How amazing is Lucy/Anna Karina, her presents and her taste never stop to surprise me, I'm going to find all the songs of her playlist!
Love

Cabaret Voltaire were a Sheffield band, of course, it wasn't all Tony Christie and Human League here, you know!
Look at all the Clares on your new background - you Supermodel you! And that guy is so checking out your arse. I would be too, you're looking HOT!
The photo booth pics are crazily fabulous, Lucy is indeed the spitting image of the saucepan-wielding Desperate Housewife, and she sent you some great treats. Mirror in the Bathroom - bloody hell, that takes me back a bit!
Looking forward to ogling you in person very soon! xxxxxx

You are a pillar of colour and joy and beauty! No wonder you're getting the eye. Fantastic mixes in clothing, photos, and music. I love the music video! It's incredibly inspiring. And the parcel is oozing with love and affection and great stuff.

I love what you did with your blog background. It's mystically cool with a touch of your humor. Look at them guns!
Did you get your books yet? Okay, I'll go and listen to your song now. ;)

I feel like I know that woman's face in the 70's postcard Clare, she looks a bit like a housewifey Marie Helvin doesn't she. And yes, you're right, Lucy does look like Edie's header lady! Her prezzies to you are lovely.
I love seeing more of these photos, I always think you have such a lovely colouring with your pale skin, pink hair and dark eyes and it really shows in the Me me me photos. Love the outfit you wore for your day out too, can't pick a favourite bit because it's all pretty.
I'm guilty of being one of those mums who fills museums etc. with kids but I do leave if mine are screaming because I get embarrassed easily. It's when you're trying to comfort/feed your child or whatever and people still keep looking at you as if you must be abusing them for them to be making that racket, I can't handle it. I am quite strict with them in places like that though, I don't like it when parents just blithely enjoy themselves while their kids are spoiling the atmosphere for other people.
And your kawaii stuff is so cute! I love the sort of Ritz biscuit Hello Kittys. xx

I wanna play with on of those photo booth things. Ha,ha like there's one here. You look like a beautiful rainbow in a sea of gray. Why do people wear dull colors in the fall/winter? The weather is sad enough.

Your world is the best. It is like an acid trip in auntie Christine's lounge, surrounded by your kid sister's toys.
Cabaret Voltaire - yes! I'm an electeo/industrial freak. Chris and Cosey, Nitzer Ebb, Clan of Xymox.....must do a mix.

Classic snap of the rubber necked guy. Great outfit, you'll be producing some epic art soon with all this stimulation. Wish I was seeing you in 2 sleeps. Gutted.

I love your outfit in the first pic. The coat and the general colour combination is just eye poppingly fabulous. That pink hair is just so damn awesome! That guy so looks like Alexander Armstrong and he is so checking you out! I can see how those Purikura booths could become completely addictive. I'm so glad you like the CD. Isn't T.V.O.D. a strangely addictive song? xxx

Don't you look fab! Love the man staring! I'm never sure if people are being negative or positive when I catch them looking at me, unless they're beaming like the lady in town the other day! Mr Man there looks positive xxx

Clare, you look fabulous, and look at that man looking at you!!! Ha! I noticed that right away. He is checking out your legs. Men love a well turned ankle! I really enjoy seeing all of your photos -- what fun! And that's pretty cool the resemblance you found between Lucy and Edie's header!
