Guess Who Too...

Hello again. I did a naughty thing on Saturday and bought a BRAND NEW dress - it was FULL PRICE. Can you believe it? I rarely do that but it was really lovely and fitted well - I was half hoping it wouldn't. IT cost me £45, which to me is a lot. I spend that much on shoes occasionally. Very occasionally. I hope I haven't let my thrifty sisters down

Anyway - I will post a pic of me in it soon, but I was a bit busy over the weekend doing another painting. This time it's the lovely lovely Folly Bird Melanie and her preposterously cute bunny Grace.

Of course it's ok to pay full price for something you love:) can't wait to see you model it for us! I adore this painting of Melanie and her bunnie is super sweet. You are such a creative spirit!

Oh amor, sometimes it is good to splurge a little on ourselves.

Yet, another gorgeous painting. I couldn't click on her link but I do love her wide eyed stated and bunny love.

Right, that's you excommunicated from The Order of the Thrifty Sisterhood.
Ha! As if! You spend what you like, love, it's your money, and if you love the dress and feel good in it - go for it! I know what you mean though - even though £45 isn't expensive by many people's standards, you kind of get used to charity shop/jumble sale prices, and it suddenly seems weird to spend that amount. Looking forward to seeing you in full-price gorgeous mode very soon!
Another wonderful portrait of Melanie (Where is she? Haven't heard from her for a while?) You have such a talent, and a definite style that's all YOU. I love your paintings! xxx

A beautiful painting and I like how you have included the bunny! The bunny eye is like a third eye.

Full price is definitely okay! I don't do it often either but sometimes I am caught off-guard by something that I know I won't be able to thrift, but it has to be on sale big time. I am definitely accustomed to thrift prices though so the item has to be super duper. I look forward to seeing you in this temptress of a dress!

Wow, this is great. You've got the resemblance down to a t!

I so rarely buy anything full price these days and if I do its only from Primark or somewhere cheap like that. I know what you mean about the guilt element, I feel it too but frankly, if you like it and it makes you feel good then why not :)

Nothing wrong with paying full price if you like it and are going to wear it. Besides you've saved so many pennies thrifting, it all balances out :)

Of course you are allowed to buy full price once in a while! providing it doesn't bankrupt you of course lol. If it is something that fits well, makes you feel fabulous and you know you will wear then it's an investment.
