Ooops! I bought things

Oops indeed, I've been very naughty this weekend and bought a bunch of stuff I really don't need. Not that this weekend differs from any other, buying pointless things and unneeded clothes is what I do all the time. I just feel guilty this time because I know it was emotional buying as I felt a bit down and useless after seeming (totally unintentionally) like Little Miss Takes-Over-Art-Project to some friends. Oh well, I headed to town to buy a magazine or two and came back with this lot:

Belts £1 each from charity shop
Plastic Necklace £1

When I first saw this beaded handbag I thought it might be brand new, but the slightly grubby inside convinced me it wasn't, although the "made in Korea" label suggests it's not very vintage. Only £2 though from the YMCA shop

This clip on bow tie was 63p because that was all the change I had and it wasn't priced, didn't feel bad as I'd just spent £5.50. The Royal Rust Resistant stamp turns up on ebay and etsy advertised as somewhere between 1940s-1960s.

Raspberry coloured jumper (topshop size 14 - get in!) £2.99
Pink 1980s cardi with plastic pearl buttons £3.50.

Big oops! I stopped into Clarks and persuaded myself to buy these beauties for £16.49.

Saturday evening I decided to do some crafting so I made this lot... one large fascinator type thing, one smaller one and a brooch. So quick and easy to make. Got some similar ones available on my etsy shop

On Sunday when I got back home I had these two vintage shell poodles waiting for me from ebay!!

Not sure where to put them yet. They were only £3.50 incl P&P. The postman makes fun of me for buying so much on ebay, in fact he was warned by the previous postman!

Last night I decided to customize those two tops I bought.. here's the results, a vast improvement I think.

Collar from ebay, lace ribbon 2nd hand.

Iron on patch from Jennie Maizels in a pack of 10 different bird themed patches £8.99

I also forgot to show you this cardigan, which I customized last week using another collar set and iron patch, the cardigan was £6 from Primark.

So, in conclusion, lots of spending (I bought an ebay dress for £17, plus homes and antiques and vintage life AND some on offer chocolate mints) but a bit of crafting and clothes customizing to keep me out of trouble.

How about a bit of tropical heat to liven up a miserable January day?

I love what you've done with the cardigans!
All your buys are lovely, and none of them were very expensive, so don't feel too bad!
I really like the brooches, I have had a go at making flower/button hair clips after seeing them at a craft fair, but they are nowhere near as pretty as yours - or as professional! xx

Wow thanks! Hopefully I might be able to flog a few then. If I get bored of the beaded bag it's your Miss Magpie!

The cardigans look so much better now you've pimped them up - giving Gok a run for his money!
